No fuses in the kit. The 30-S2222D takes a 13/32 x 1-1/2 midget-style fuse, and you order those separately. Size the fuse to the luminaire load, not to the 30A holder rating.

The set-screw terminals take 14 through 2 AWG, and they are rated for both copper and aluminum. That covers typical pole-base feeds through to larger area-lighting runs, and it means you don't need a separate AL-rated connector on an aluminum branch circuit.

Yes. The SLK disconnect is listed to UL 486D, which is the submersible wire connector standard, so it holds up in a wet or flooded pole base, handhole or direct-burial location. That is the reason it gets specified for roadway and parking lot poles where the base fills with water.

It's a 2-pole dual unit with set-screw terminals for 2 line and 2 load conductors, so it fuses both ungrounded legs of a 240V or two-circuit feed. A single-pole kit only breaks one leg; if the fixture is fed line-to-line, you want the 2-pole version.
