2) How do I pick the right LRD relay for my motor's full load amps?

3) What does Class 10A tripping mean on a thermal overload relay, and is it right for my motor?
Class 10A means the relay trips within roughly 10 seconds at locked rotor current, per IEC 60947-4-1. That is the fast trip class, and it suits normal starting loads such as pumps, fans and conveyors that come up to speed quickly. If you have a high-inertia load with a long acceleration time, like a large centrifuge or a loaded crusher, a Class 10A relay will nuisance trip during starting and you want a slower trip class instead.
4) Can I use this Square D overload relay on a 600V motor control panel in the US?

5) What is the difference between the small frame LRD and the LRD33 large frame relays?
They are two physical sizes matched to different contactor frames. The small frame LRD05 through LRD32 covers a 1.6 to 24A adjustment span and serves motors up to about 32A FLA. The LRD33xx large frame covers 23 to 80A and handles 32A through 80A motors. You cannot swap one for the other on the same contactor, so match the relay frame to the contactor frame first, then set the dial to the motor FLA.
6) Is the LRD relay safe to work around in an open panel, and what is the terminal torque?
It is IP20 rated per IEC 60529, so the terminals are finger-safe against accidental contact with live parts inside the enclosure. Screw clamp terminals tighten to 1.7 N.m. Use a torque screwdriver on those, since under-torqued power terminals on a motor circuit are a heating problem.
