Always free. The passage escutcheon lever is unlocked at all times, so anyone can pull the door open from the outside with no key and no code. That is the right choice on a stair re-entry door, a corridor pair, or any leaf where the exit device provides the latching and you only need an outside pull with a lever feel. If you need the outside lever to be locked and released by key, specify a keyed function instead, not the passage trim.

Two footprints depending on how you order it. The lever escutcheon measures 9.78 x 3.28 inches (248.6 x 83.31 mm), and the flat/pull plate measures 14 x 3 inches (355.6 x 76.2 mm). The 14 inch plate is the larger of the two and the ANSI 14 reference in the product name. Measure the existing prep and marks on your door face against those numbers before you commit; a plate only hides what falls inside its outline.

They are not interchangeable trims. The Stanley QET130 is built as coordinated trim for STANLEY Commercial Hardware QED100, QED200 and QED300 exit devices. The Schlage XE360EW22S is named for the Von Duprin 22 SVR device, so it is matched to that chassis rather than to the QED family. It is also a wireless Grade 1 trim with a Bluetooth and NFC mobile reader in Classroom/Storeroom function, where the QET130 is a mechanical passage lever. Confirm the exit device on the door before swapping between them.

The QET130 passage trim leaves the lever always unlocked, so it will not secure the outside of an opening. For a Grade 1 trim that holds the pull side secure, the Schlage CO-100-993M-70-KP is a standalone electronic mortise exit device trim with a keypad reader in Classroom/Storeroom function, and the Schlage XE360EW22S is a Grade 1 wireless exit trim with a smart Bluetooth and NFC mobile reader, also Classroom/Storeroom. Both are rated for 1-3/4 inch doors. The CO-100 works from a keypad code at the door; the XE360EW22S reads a mobile credential and carries an interior pushbutton LED with indicator.

Grade 1 and commercial duty, which is the top ANSI/BHMA hardware grade and the level normally specified for institutional corridors, schools and healthcare. The heavy duty escutcheon trim is meant for high traffic openings where the exit device does the work and the outside lever takes the abuse. Standardizing a facility on one trim design and finish across QED100, QED200 and QED300 devices is straightforward here because all three lever designs share the same function and grade.

Not for the passage version. The lever is always free, so there is nothing to key and no cylinder to buy for it. The QET family does use a conventional cylinder where a keyed function is ordered, so if a locksmith is keying the rest of the building into an existing system, that applies to the keyed trims in the series and not to this passage lever.

No. The QET130 is mechanical passage trim, with no reader, no keypad and no electronics. For credentialed access on an exit device, look at the Schlage Electronics CO-100 standalone mortise exit device trim with a keypad reader, classroom/storeroom function, Grade 1, for 1-3/4 inch doors, or the XE360EW22S wireless trim with a Bluetooth and NFC mobile reader that fits a Von Duprin 22 SVR device.

Two choices settle the order: lever design (A Slate, E Sierra or M Summit) and finish (605 bright brass, 613 oil rubbed bronze or 626 satin chrome). Function is fixed as passage. The exit device itself is a separate order, and it needs to be a Stanley QED100, QED200 or QED300 for the trim to coordinate with it.

Split it by opening function and keep the grade consistent. The Stanley QET130 is Grade 1 heavy duty commercial trim in passage function, with lever, flat and pull plate options and a 14 inch by 3 inch plate, offered in Slate, Sierra and Summit designs and in 605 bright brass, 613 oil rubbed bronze and 626 satin chrome. Three finishes: 605 bright brass, 613 oil rubbed bronze and 626 satin chrome. Those are standard BHMA finish numbers, so 626 satin chrome will sit alongside other 626 hardware on the same opening and 613 alongside other 613. All three are offered on the Slate, Sierra and Summit lever designs.
