Steel City 6H0 BSS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size conduit does the Steel City 6H0B hanger fit?
The Steel City 6H0 B conduit/pipe hanger is a 1/2 inch size, so it suits 1/2 inch conduit or pipe runs. Larger runs need the corresponding larger hanger size, not this one.
2) Does the 6H0B conduit hanger come with the bolt, or do I order that separately?
The bolt is included. Steel City lists the 6H0 B as a conduit/pipe hanger with bolt, so you get the hanger and its bolt together and only need the anchor or structural attachment point for your substrate.
3) Can I use this hanger for a 1/2 inch water or gas pipe, not just electrical conduit?
Steel City designates the 6H0 B as a conduit and pipe hanger, so it is intended for 1/2 inch pipe as well as 1/2 inch conduit. For corrosive service or exterior piping, the stainless 6H0 BSS is the version to specify.
4) Am I buying one conduit hanger or a box of them?
Pricing and shipping on the 6H0 B hanger are per piece, each. Count your support spacing along the run and order the quantity you need; there is no fixed carton quantity applied to the order.
