Elastimold T0270 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What conductor size does the Elastimold T0270 stem connector take?
The T0270 stem connector is sized for 4/0 stranded compressed conductor. If your cable is a different size or a compact rather than compressed strand class, it is the wrong connector and you need the stem connector matched to that conductor.
2) What does a stem connector like the Elastimold T0270 actually do in a loadbreak elbow assembly?
A stem connector is the crimp-on conductor termination that joins the cable to the molded rubber elbow or connector body. The T0270 is the stem for 4/0 stranded compressed cable, so it is the piece that makes the electrical connection inside the assembly, not the insulated housing itself.
3) Is there more than one version of the Elastimold T0270, or just one part number?
One configuration only. The T0270 ships as a single model with manufacturer part number T0270, so there are no size, finish, or strand-class options to pick on the order.
