Elastimold T0210 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What conductor size does the Elastimold T0210 stem connector take?
The T0210 stem connector is sized for No. 2 solid and compact conductor. It is a single-size connector, so it should not be used on stranded or other gauges outside that No. 2 solid/compact rating.
2) I have No. 2 stranded cable, can I still use the T0210?
No. The T0210 is specified for No. 2 solid and compact conductor only. Stranded No. 2 has a different conductor diameter and needs the stem connector sized for stranded, so ordering the T0210 for a stranded run will give you a stem that does not grip correctly.
3) Is the Elastimold T0210 a single part number or are there multiple versions to choose from?
One part, one configuration: Elastimold T0210, ordered by that manufacturer number. There is no handing, length, or finish choice to specify, so the only thing to confirm before ordering is that your cable is No. 2 solid or compact.
4) What is a stem connector used for on underground cable accessories?
A stem connector is the conductor-gripping component that terminates the cable conductor and provides the stem that mates into a molded rubber accessory such as an elbow or connector body. The Elastimold T0210 is the No. 2 solid/compact version, so the conductor size of the cable you are terminating is what determines whether this is the right stem.
