2) Do I need the corner mount or the wall mount version of the STI wire guard?

If it's mounted flat on a single wall surface, use STI-9620, STI-9621, or STI-9622. The two styles have different back geometry, so a wall mount cage won't sit tight in a corner and a corner cage won't seal flat against one wall.
3) Can these STI motion detector cages be used outside on a loading dock or building exterior?
No. The STI Motion Detector Damage Stoppers are rated for indoor use only. For an exterior PIR you need a guard built for outdoor exposure instead.
