Safety Technology International STI-UB-2LENS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What colors come in the STI UB-2LENS lens kit?
The UB-2LENS kit ships with three lenses: red, blue, and green. You get all three in the one kit, so you can color-code buttons by function across a building (for example red for emergency release, green for request-to-exit) without buying separate parts for each opening.
2) Will the UB-2LENS lens kit fit the STI Universal Button?
Yes. The 2 inch lens kit is made for STI's Universal Button, and STI directs you to the UB-1 for the full button details. It is an accessory only, so the button itself has to be ordered separately.
3) Does the UB-2LENS include the push button itself or just the lenses?
Lenses only. The UB-2LENS is a replacement and color-change kit containing the red, blue, and green 2 inch lenses; the Universal Button it covers is a separate purchase. If you are specifying a new installation, order the button and add this kit when you need a color other than what the button ships with.
4) Can I restock a facility with one part number instead of stocking three separate lens colors?
Yes, and that is the practical reason to carry it. One UB-2LENS kit covers all three colors for the STI Universal Button, so a maintenance crew or MRO stockroom can keep a single line item on the shelf and still handle a red, blue, or green button swap.
5) What size lens is the STI UB-2LENS?
It is a 2 inch lens kit, matching the 2 inch lens on STI's Universal Button. Smaller or larger STI buttons use their own lens parts, so match the kit to the button you actually have in the wall before ordering.
6) Is there more than one version of the UB-2LENS to choose from?
No. The UB-2LENS is sold as a single model with all three lens colors in the kit, so there is nothing to specify beyond the part number itself.
