Sure-Loc BA-SET-PH2 26 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What finishes does the Sure-Loc Basic Series two-post paper holder come in?
Four finishes: 11P Vintage Bronze, 15 Satin Nickel, 26 Polished Chrome, and FBL Flat Black. If you are matching bath hardware already on the wall, those finish codes are the ones to line up against your existing Sure-Loc pieces.
2) Is the Sure-Loc Basic paper holder rated for commercial restrooms or just homes?
It is classified for residential use. For apartments, condos and single-family units it is the right class of product. For a high-traffic public restroom in a school, hospital or office building, look at a commercial-duty holder instead, since this one is not rated for that service.
3) What is the difference between a two-post paper holder and a bar-style or single-post one?
A two-post holder carries the roll on a spring roller spanning two separate posts, so you get support at both ends and the roller lifts out for reloading. The Sure-Loc Basic Series uses that two-post configuration. A bar style, like the Emtek Modern Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, hangs the roll off one continuous bar. A single post, such as the Deltana 55D2001 or BBN2001, is a pivoting arm anchored at one end only and needs less wall width. Two-post is the most common replacement shape in existing baths because the mounting footprint matches what most builder-grade holders already use.
4) What is the closest two-post equivalent to the Sure-Loc Basic Series paper holder set from another brand?
The Deltana 98C2001 is the closest match in configuration - it is a Classic double post toilet paper holder in solid brass from the 98C Series, so it uses the same two-post roll support as the Sure-Loc Basic Series set. If a buyer is standardizing on double-post holders across a group of baths, the 98C2001 is the direct alternate.
5) What should I use instead if the wall space is too narrow for a two-post paper holder?
Single-post holders project from one mounting point instead of spanning two, which suits tight walls beside a vanity or in a powder room. The Deltana 55D2001 is a single post holder in solid brass from the 55D Series, and the Deltana BBN2001 is a single post holder in the BBN Series. Both replace the two-post Sure-Loc Basic Series arrangement with a one-sided mount.
6) Is everything included, or do I have to buy the roller separately?
It ships as a complete two-post set, both posts and the roller together, so there is nothing to source piece by piece to make it work.
7) I am fitting out several apartment units. Is this a reasonable spec to standardize on?
Yes for multi-family residential. It is a residential-class accessory and the description calls out multi-family properties as a typical application, and with one style in four finishes you can hold a single part across buildings and just pick the finish that matches each unit's trim package.
8) What other toilet paper holder brands could I use if I want solid brass instead?
Deltana's holders are specified as solid brass, including the 88DTPH in the 88 Series and the 98C2001 Classic double post in the 98C Series, which is the closest two-post equivalent. Orca Hardware is another route with several decorative styles, the 3655 Swirl Euro and 5255 Ripple Euro among them, plus the 2752 Cypress and 4852 Blakely which use a plastic tube rather than a metal roller.
9) Which paper holder has a roller tube included rather than an open spindle?
The Orca Hardware 2752 from the 27-Cypress Series and the Orca Hardware 4852 Blakely from the 48-Blakely Series both come with a plastic tube for the roll. The Sure-Loc Basic Series set is described by its two-post configuration rather than a tube, so if a property manager wants the replaceable plastic roller in turnover units, the Orca 2752 or 4852 is the one to specify.
10) Is a bar-style paper holder the same thing as this two-post set?
No. The Emtek Modern Brass, Traditional Brass, Transitional Brass, and Sandcast Bronze paper holders are all bar style, meaning the roll rides on a continuous bar rather than between two separate posts as on the Sure-Loc Basic Series set. They look similar on a spec sheet but mount and load differently, so confirm the style before ordering one as a replacement for the other.
11) I need to match a whole suite of bath accessories, not just the paper holder. Which lines support that?
The Sure-Loc Basic Series paper holder set is part of the Bath Hardware collection, so it coordinates with other Basic Series bath accessories in the same finish, offered in Vintage Bronze, Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, and Flat Black. Emtek also builds paper holders within full bath hardware lines - Modern Brass, Traditional, Transitional, and Sandcast Bronze - if the rest of the suite is being specified in one of those families.
12) I want a solid brass paper holder instead of a residential-classified set. What are my options?
The Sure-Loc Basic Series two-post set is classified for residential use. If solid brass construction is the requirement, Deltana lists it on several holders: the 88DTPH in the 88 Series, the 98C2001 double post in the 98C Series, and the 55D2001 single post in the 55D Series.
13) Do I need to run power or wiring for this paper holder?
No. The Basic Series two-post set is entirely mechanical, non-electronic, so there is no wiring, no transformer and no batteries. It mounts to the wall and that is the whole install.
14) Will the Sure-Loc Basic paper holder coordinate with my other bath accessories?
It is part of Sure-Loc's Basic Series bath hardware line, so towel bars, rings and other Basic Series accessories are built to the same styling and share the same finish codes. Matching another manufacturer's line is a finish-match exercise, not a guaranteed one, so compare the actual finish code rather than the finish name.
15) What is an alternative if I want a decorative or European-look paper holder rather than plain styling?
The Sure-Loc Basic Series set is understated styling meant to blend with existing bath hardware. For a more decorative profile, the Orca Hardware 3655 Swirl Euro from the 36-Swirl Series and the Orca Hardware 5255 Ripple Euro from the 52-Ripple Series are euro-style holders with patterned bases, and Emtek's Sandcast Bronze bar style holder gives a heavier cast look.
