Sure-Loc BT-SET-PH1 26W – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Sure-Loc Brighton paper holder rated for commercial restrooms?
It is classified for residential use, so it suits houses, condos, apartments and multi-family units. For a high-traffic public or institutional washroom, look at a solid brass holder such as the Deltana 88DTPH instead of a residential porcelain-roller set.
2) If a bathroom needs a double post paper holder instead of a single post, what should be used in place of the Sure-Loc Brighton set?
The Deltana 98C2001 is a classic double post toilet paper holder in solid brass from the 98C Series, so it covers openings where a two post cradle is wanted rather than the single post arrangement of the Brighton set.
3) Is this a single post or double post toilet paper holder?
Single post. The Brighton set uses a streamlined single post mounting profile, which takes less wall width than a two-post bracket setup. If you want the classic two-post look, the Deltana 98C2001 is a double post holder in solid brass.
4) Will this paper holder match other bath accessories I already have?
It is part of the Sure-Loc Brighton Series bath hardware collection, so it coordinates with other Brighton Series accessories (towel bars, rings, hooks) in the same polished chrome and white porcelain treatment. Mixing it with a different series or brand means matching chrome tone by eye, since the white porcelain roller is specific to Brighton.
5) What's the difference between this porcelain roller holder and the Emtek bar style paper holders?
The Brighton is a post-and-roller design with a white porcelain roll, a traditional look for residential baths. Emtek's bar style holders, offered in Modern Brass, Traditional Brass, Transitional Brass and Sandcast Bronze collections, use a bar instead of a roller and read as a different aesthetic. Choose by what the rest of the room is trimmed in.
6) I'm outfitting a block of rental units. Is a porcelain roller holder a good choice, or should I use something with a plastic tube?
The Brighton set's porcelain roller is a residential-grade classic look and works fine in apartments and condos. For turnover-heavy units where a dropped roller is a service call, a holder supplied with a plastic tube, such as the Orca Hardware 2752 or the 4852 Blakely, is the more forgiving spec.
7) What is a modern or contemporary styled alternative to the classic Sure-Loc Brighton paper holder?
Emtek's bar style paper holders cover the contemporary side: the Modern Brass Paper Holder in the Modern Brass Bath Hardware line and the Transitional Brass Paper Holder in the Transitional Bath Hardware line. Both use a bar format rather than the single post with porcelain roller that the Brighton set uses.
8) Which paper holders look like substitutes for the Brighton set but do not give you a porcelain roller?
The Orca Hardware 2752 in the 27-Cypress Series and the Orca Hardware 4852 Blakely both ship with a plastic tube rather than a porcelain roller, and the Emtek bar style holders such as the Traditional Brass and Sandcast Bronze use a bar instead of a roller entirely. If the white porcelain look is what is being matched, the Brighton set is the one that carries it.
9) Does this toilet paper holder need any wiring or batteries?
No. It is a fully mechanical bath accessory, non-electronic, so there is nothing to wire, no power rough-in, and no batteries to service. Mount the posts to the wall and it is done.
10) Is this sold as a complete set or do I buy the posts and roller separately?
It ships as a complete paper holder set, posts plus the white porcelain roller, in one order line. Nothing else from the Brighton collection is required to make it functional.
11) What are the single post alternatives if I want solid brass instead of porcelain?
Two from Deltana: the 55D2001 single post holder in solid brass, and the BBN2001 single post holder in the BBN Series. Both keep the same single post format as the Brighton but drop the white porcelain roller.
12) Is the Deltana 88DTPH interchangeable with the Sure-Loc Brighton paper holder set?
Not as a like-for-like match. The Deltana 88DTPH is a solid brass toilet paper holder in the 88 Series, while the Brighton set is a single post configuration finished in 26W polished chrome with white porcelain. They serve the same purpose but differ in construction and series styling, so they will not coordinate with each other in a bathroom being matched to Brighton Series accessories.
13) For a rental unit turn where a simple open-ended roller holder is wanted, what is an alternative to the Brighton set?
The Orca Hardware 3655 Swirl and the Orca Hardware 5255 Ripple are euro style toilet paper holders, from the 36-Swirl and 52-Ripple Series respectively, and give a pared back open profile compared with the Brighton set's post and porcelain roller arrangement.
