Sure-Loc SD-SET-PH1 15 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Sedona paper holder rated for commercial restroom traffic?
No. Sure-Loc lists the Sedona Series paper holder as residential, built for everyday home use rather than heavy commercial traffic. For apartments, condos and single-family units it's the right class of hardware; for a public or high-traffic institutional restroom you want commercial-grade washroom accessories instead.
2) Will this paper holder match other Sure-Loc bath accessories I already installed?
It coordinates with the Sure-Loc Ridgecrest collection, so it's designed to pair with matching Ridgecrest towel bars, robe hooks and other bath accessories in the same finish. If your existing pieces are from a different Sure-Loc collection, match on finish code rather than assuming the styling lines up.
3) I need a double-post paper holder instead of a single post - what should I order?
The Deltana 98C2001 is a double post classic toilet paper holder in solid brass, 98C Series, so it takes a roll on a spindle captured between two posts rather than cantilevered off one. The Sure-Loc Sedona Series holder is single post, which allows one-handed roll changes. Pick the double post where you want the roll held at both ends.
4) I have a commercial restroom - is the Sure-Loc Sedona holder the right choice or should I look at something else?
The Sure-Loc Sedona Series Single Post Paper Holder Set is specified as residential and built for everyday home use such as primary baths, guest baths, and powder rooms rather than heavy commercial traffic. For a public restroom, look instead at a tube-style unit like the Orca Hardware 2752 or 4852 Blakely, both of which carry the roll on a plastic tube, or a solid brass holder such as the Deltana 88DTPH.
5) What are the alternatives to the Sure-Loc Sedona single post holder?
Other single post options include the Deltana 55D2001 in solid brass and the Deltana BBN2001. If you want a double post instead, the Deltana 98C2001 is a classic double post in solid brass. For a spring-tube style holder, Orca Hardware's 2752 Cypress and 4852 Blakely both use a plastic tube, and the Orca 3655 Swirl and 5255 Ripple are Euro-style holders.
6) Single post or bar style toilet paper holder for a small powder room?
A single post like the Sedona holds the roll on one arm, so you can change the roll one-handed and it takes up less wall than a two-point mount. That suits tight powder rooms and narrow wall returns beside a toilet. A bar style, such as the Emtek Transitional Brass Paper Holder, spans between two posts and needs a wider clear wall run but holds the roll more rigidly.
7) Is the Sedona paper holder sold complete or do I order the post and plate separately?
It ships as a complete paper holder set, so you specify one finish and get the assembly for a single bathroom tissue point. You don't order the post and mount as separate line items.
8) For a whole-bathroom hardware package, should I specify the Sure-Loc Sedona holder or a Deltana 88DTPH?
The Sure-Loc Sedona Series Single Post Paper Holder Set belongs to the Ridgecrest collection and is intended to be paired with matching Sure-Loc towel bars, robe hooks, and other bath accessories from that line for a consistent look. The Deltana 88DTPH is a solid brass toilet paper holder in Deltana's 88 Series, so coordinating it means staying within Deltana's 88 Series for the rest of the room. Decide based on which family the remaining accessories will come from.
9) What is the difference between the Sure-Loc Sedona single post holder and Emtek's bar-style paper holders?
Emtek's paper holders - the Modern Brass, Transitional Brass, Traditional Brass, and Sandcast Bronze versions - are bar style, meaning the roll rides on a bar spanning two mounts. The Sure-Loc Sedona Series holder uses a single-post profile with the roll supported on one side. Emtek also splits its offering by material and design family, including a sandcast bronze option, while the Sedona holder is supplied in satin nickel, flat black, or satin brass finishes.
10) Is there a paper holder that uses a replaceable roller tube rather than a post?
Yes. The Orca Hardware 2752 in the 27-Cypress Series and the Orca Hardware 4852 Blakely in the 48-Blakely Series both use a plastic tube to carry the roll, which is the spring-loaded roller arrangement most rental and multi-family bathrooms are used to. The Sure-Loc Sedona Series holder instead uses a single-post design with no tube, so there is no roller to replace.
11) Which paper holders look like a substitute for the Sure-Loc Sedona single post but mount differently?
The Orca Hardware 3655 Swirl and Orca Hardware 5255 Ripple are euro-style toilet paper holders, in the 36-Swirl and 52-Ripple series respectively. Euro-style holders use an open hook or ring form rather than the Sedona's single-post arrangement, so the roll loads and the wall footprint differ even though both are wall-mounted tissue holders. Confirm the mounting pattern before treating either as a drop-in for a Sedona.
12) Does the Sedona paper holder need any power or wiring?
No wiring, no power, no batteries. It's a purely mechanical bath fixture, so it mounts to the wall and nothing else is needed on the electrical side.
13) Can I standardize on this holder across multi-family units?
Yes, that's a common use. Sure-Loc calls out multi-family residential properties and renovation work among the applications, and the three finishes let you keep one finish standard across a building while still matching Ridgecrest towel bars and hooks in the same units.
