Sure-Loc BD-SET-PH1 15 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Sure-Loc Baden paper holder rated for commercial restrooms?
No. The Baden Series paper holder is a residential bath accessory, intended for bathrooms, powder rooms, guest baths and multi-family units. For a high traffic public restroom you want a commercial grade holder with heavier mounting, not this one.
2) What is a direct single post alternative to the Sure-Loc Baden Series Single Post Paper Holder Set?
The Sure-Loc Baden Series Single Post Paper Holder Set uses single-post styling, and two Deltana models share that configuration: the Deltana 55D2001, a single post toilet paper holder in the 55D Series built of solid brass, and the Deltana BBN2001, a single post holder in the BBN Series. Both hold the roll on one post rather than spanning a bar between two posts, so they cover the same mounting approach as the Baden set.
3) Single post or double post toilet paper holder, which should I pick?
A single post holder like the Baden has one arm and an open end, so a roll slides on without pulling the bar off the wall, which is what most people want in a guest bath or powder room. A double post holds the roll between two arms on a removable bar, which looks more traditional and keeps the roll captive. If you want that style, the Deltana 98C2001 is a double post holder in solid brass. Emtek's bath hardware paper holders are bar style, where the roll rides on a removable bar between two posts.
4) Can I match the Sure-Loc Baden paper holder with towel bars and rings in the same bathroom?
Yes. The Baden paper holder is one piece of the Sure-Loc Baden bath hardware collection, so the towel bars, rings and other Baden accessories carry the same styling and finish codes. Order all the pieces in the same finish code (for example FBL across the board) and the set reads as one suite.
5) I'm outfitting multi-family units and want one paper holder across all of them. Is the Baden a good standardization choice?
It works for apartments and condo units, which the Baden is listed for alongside single family baths. The advantage for a property manager is the five finish codes, so you can standardize on one model and still match different unit packages. Keep in mind it is a residential grade accessory, so it suits in-unit bathrooms rather than shared lobby or clubhouse restrooms.
6) What are the alternatives to the Sure-Loc Baden paper holder if I want solid brass?
Deltana's holders are the solid brass route. The 55D2001 is a single post holder in the 55D Series, and the 88DTPH is from the 88 Series, both solid brass. The Deltana BBN2001 is another single post option in the BBN Series. If budget matters more than material, Orca Hardware's 2752 (Cypress) and 4852 (Blakely) use a plastic tube for the roll.
7) What bar-style paper holders can I use if the Baden single post design does not suit the wall?
Emtek offers bar-style paper holders in four collections: the Modern Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, the Transitional Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, the Traditional Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, and the Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder - Bar Style. Bar style supports the roll on a bar between mounting posts, a different layout from the single-post Sure-Loc Baden Series Single Post Paper Holder Set.
8) I want a bronze paper holder to match dark bathroom hardware - what are my options?
The Sure-Loc Baden Series Single Post Paper Holder Set is offered in 11P Vintage Bronze and FBL Flat Black, both suited to darker hardware schemes. For a cast bronze alternative, Emtek's Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder - Bar Style comes from its Sandcast Bronze Bath Hardware collection, though it is a bar-style rather than single-post design.
9) Is the Sure-Loc Baden paper holder sold as a complete set or do I buy the post and bracket separately?
It ships as a complete paper holder set, one part number per finish. You are not assembling it from separate components.
10) What is the euro-style equivalent if I want a more decorative look than the Baden single post holder?
Orca Hardware offers two euro-style holders with patterned detailing: the 3655 Swirl Euro Toilet Paper Holder in the 36-Swirl Series and the 5255 Ripple Euro Toilet Paper Holder in the 52-Ripple Series. The Sure-Loc Baden Series Single Post Paper Holder Set takes the plainer single-post approach by comparison.
11) Does the Sure-Loc Baden paper holder need any wiring or batteries?
No power of any kind. It is a purely mechanical accessory, no wiring, no batteries, so it mounts on the wall like any standard bath fitting.
