Sure-Loc Monterrey Series Single Post Paper Holder

Residential. The Monterrey single post paper holder is built for bathrooms and powder rooms in homes and apartments, not for high-traffic public restrooms. If you are outfitting a commercial washroom, look at a heavier commercial-grade accessory instead.

The Deltana 55D2001 is a single post toilet paper holder in the 55D Series built of solid brass, and the Deltana BBN2001 is another single post holder, from the BBN Series. Both hold the roll on one post the way the Sure-Loc Monterrey Single Post Paper Holder does, so the mounting concept is the same; the difference is the solid brass body called out on the Deltana parts versus the Monterrey, which Sure-Loc builds as residential bath hardware in Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Flat Black and Satin Brass.

The Sure-Loc Monterrey Single Post Paper Holder carries the roll on one post. If the opening calls for a holder with posts on both sides, the Deltana 98C2001 is a Classic double post toilet paper holder in the 98C Series, solid brass. That is the direct style change to make when a single post arm is not what the bathroom design calls for.

It mounts with concealed fasteners, so no screw heads show on the finished post or bracket. Standard practice for this kind of accessory is a mounting post anchored to the wall with the decorative cover set over it and secured by a hidden setscrew.

A single post like the Monterrey holds the roll on one arm with an open end, so you slide the roll straight on without removing anything. A double post design, such as the Deltana 98C2001 Classic Double Post, uses two brackets with a spindle between them and you pop the spindle out to change the roll. Single post is quicker for a tenant to reload; double post keeps the roll captive.

A bar style holder carries the roll on a bar or rod spanning two mounting points; the Sure-Loc Monterrey Single Post Paper Holder carries it on one post. Emtek offers bar style paper holders in several bath hardware lines - Modern Brass, Traditional Brass, Transitional Brass and Sandcast Bronze - so if the rest of the bathroom suite is Emtek, the bar style is the matching format. Choose by which mounting footprint the wall and the existing suite already use.

The Sure-Loc Monterrey Single Post Paper Holder is residential bath hardware that mounts with concealed fasteners. Orca Hardware offers several paper holders at the same residential bath level: the 2752 in the 27-Cypress Series and the 4852 Blakely, both with a plastic tube for the roll, and the 3655 Swirl and 5255 Ripple in Euro style. The plastic tube designs let the roll spin on a replaceable tube rather than a fixed post, which is a common choice where tenants change rolls often.

No. The Deltana 88DTPH is a toilet paper holder from Deltana's 88 Series in solid brass, a different manufacturer and a different series, so its mounting post spacing and escutcheon shape will not match Sure-Loc Monterrey pieces already on the wall. If the goal is a coordinated set with an existing Monterrey towel bar or ring, stay with the Sure-Loc Monterrey Single Post Paper Holder, which is finished in Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Flat Black or Satin Brass to match that line.

The Sure-Loc Monterrey Single Post Paper Holder is designated residential and is designed for residential bathrooms and powder rooms, so for a high-traffic public restroom it is worth looking at heavier-bodied alternatives. Deltana builds its paper holders in solid brass, including the 55D2001 single post and the 98C2001 double post, which is the construction to ask for when the fixture will see constant use. Confirm your facility's accessibility and code requirements separately before committing.

The Monterrey bath accessories use the standard finish codes, including 15 Satin Nickel and 26 Polished Chrome, which are the same designations used across door hardware. That makes it straightforward for a property manager to spec one finish code across levers and bath accessories in a turn.

Not as a matched set. The Emtek Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder belongs to Emtek's Sandcast Bronze bath hardware line and is a bar style unit, while the Sure-Loc Monterrey Single Post Paper Holder is a single post piece offered in Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Flat Black and Satin Brass to coordinate with the rest of the Monterrey line. Mixing the two means different body styles and different finish programs on the same wall.
