1) What trade sizes does the Topaz 305M rigid conduit bushing come in?
Two trade sizes: 1-1/2 inch, which is the 305M itself, and 2-1/2 inch, ordered as part number 307M. There is no intermediate 2 inch size in this pair, so if your run terminates in 2 inch rigid you need a different part number.
2) Will a Topaz 305M bushing thread onto IMC as well as rigid conduit?
Yes. The 305M is rated for Rigid/IMC, so it threads onto either, since both use the same NPT-style conduit thread at a given trade size. Match the trade size, not the conduit designation.
3) Is a malleable iron conduit bushing the same as an insulated or insulated-throat bushing?
No. The 305M is a plain malleable iron bushing with a smooth, rounded throat that keeps sharp conduit ends off the wire insulation. It has no plastic or phenolic insulating liner. Where the NEC requires an insulated throat on the conductor entry, you need a bushing with an insulating insert or a plastic bushing instead.
