TOTO THP5459 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is TOTO THP5459 - a handle or a diverter body?
THP5459 is a TOTO diverter part for shower and tub valve trim. The catalogue record carries it as a diverter body, and it is sold as a repair/replacement part rather than a complete valve or trim kit. Order it by the TOTO part number THP5459 so you get the right piece.
2) Can TOTO THP5459 be used on a shower-only installation, or is it just for tub and shower valves?
The THP5459 diverter part is specified for shower and tub applications. A diverter is what routes water between a tub spout and a showerhead (or between outlets), so it belongs in a tub/shower or multi-outlet setup rather than a single-outlet shower-only valve.
3) I manage apartments with TOTO tub/shower valves - is THP5459 a repair part I can stock for the diverter?
Yes. THP5459 is a TOTO diverter component for tub and shower valves, the kind of piece you pull and replace when the diverter stops holding water at the showerhead. It is a single part number with one configuration, so stocking it is straightforward. Match it against the TOTO valve or trim series already in your units before buying in quantity.
4) Does TOTO THP5459 come in different finishes or sizes?
No. THP5459 is offered as one configuration only, under the single TOTO part number THP5459. There is no finish or size choice to specify when ordering.
