This modern design uses TOTO's Dual-Max flushing system, allowing you to proactively conserve water with a full or light flush option. Choose between a 0.9 GPF rinse or 1.28 GPF for tougher jobs. Auto Flush option provides a hands-free automatic flush after every use. No need to touch buttons or handles, and never worry about someone forgetting to flush. The DUOFIT harness allows you to select a mounting height of 15 to 19 inches. This provides the opportunity for you to establish a comfortable bowl height for a wide array of individuals. The in-wall unit can support up to 880lbs when installed properly. The kit arrives ready to be installed within a 2” x 6” stud setting with a 2" x 6" polyethylene waste outlet. If you require installation within a 2” x 4” setting, you will need to additionally purchase TOTO's 2” x 4” PVC outlet kit (THU343). To enhance the installation with a WASHLET bidet seat, there is a pre-attached copper supply built into the system. This DUOFIT requires the toilet bowl, auto flush compatible washlet, and push plate to be purchased separately.

2) Will the DUOFIT WT173MA fit in a 2x4 stud wall?
Not as shipped. The DUOFIT carrier arrives set up for a 2 x 6 stud bay with a 2 x 6 polyethylene waste outlet. To install it in a 2 x 4 wall you have to add TOTO's 2 x 4 PVC outlet kit, part THU343. Check your framing before ordering, because that outlet kit is a separate line item.
3) What bowl height can I set with the TOTO DUOFIT in-wall carrier?
The DUOFIT harness is adjustable for a mounting height of 15 to 19 inches, so you can set the rim where it suits the user. That range covers a low seat for a child's restroom up through a comfort-height setting in a unit for older residents, without changing carriers between openings.
4) Do I need extra plumbing to run a WASHLET bidet seat off the DUOFIT tank?
A copper supply line is already built into the WT173MA for the bidet seat, so you are not fishing a new water line into the wall. To finish the WASHLET connection you add TOTO's WASHLET connection kit, THU794, which is sold on its own.

The DUOFIT is a wall mount, back outlet system. The waste leaves the bowl horizontally into the carrier inside the wall, so an existing floor flange rough-in does not serve it. Converting a floor-outlet bathroom means opening the wall and running new waste to the carrier outlet.
