1) Will the Trimco 1096HA anti-vandal pull work with my Von Duprin 98/99 exit device?
Not the HA version. 1096HA is the handle alone, with astragal. To mate the pull to a Von Duprin 98/99 Series device you want the 1096VD, and for a Precision Apex 2000 Series device it's the 1096PHI. The 1090 Series is built to mate to different locksets and exit devices on both inswing and outswing doors, so the device you already have on the door decides which suffix you order.
2) What is the difference between the Trimco 1096 and 1097 anti-vandal pulls?
The astragal. 1096 includes the astragal, 1097 does not. On a pair of doors the astragal closes the gap at the meeting stiles, which is what stops someone running a chain or padlock through between the leaves. On a single door in a frame you generally don't need it, and the 1097 is the same pull without it.
