Rated -46 C to +150 C, which is why they get specified around steam lines, process equipment, and high-temperature manufacturing where a standard nylon tie goes brittle or relaxes. The locking barb is stainless steel, so the mechanism itself doesn't soften at the top of that range.
2) What lengths and pack sizes do these Ty-Rap ETFE ties come in?
Four lengths, 3.6, 7.3, 13.4 and 14.8 inches, each in Bulk Pack or Standard Pack. Bulk part numbers run TYZ23M, TYZ25M, TYZ27M and TYZ28M; the standard-pack equivalents are TYZ523M, TYZ525M, TYZ527M and TYZ528M. Order by the part number, not the length alone, so you get the pack configuration you expect.
3) Can these ties be released and reused after installation?
No, they are not a releasable fastener. The stainless steel barb engages the internal toothing on the band one way, so removal means cutting the tie off. Plan on replacements for anything you expect to open up regularly.
4) Why pick an ETFE fluoropolymer tie over a standard nylon 6/6 cable tie?
Two reasons: radiation and heat. The ETFE construction is specified for radiation-resistant duty, nuclear plants, imaging and research labs, and holds to +150 C.
