98 ALK Alarm Kit for 98 Series Exit Device

Combining advanced technology with ease of use, the ALK Alarm Kit features an internal horn that emits an 85-decibel audible signal when the touch bar is depressed, instantly alerting you to any breach of the opening.
The ALK is available in two styles, 99ALK, grooved cover and 98ALK, smooth cover.
The ALK Alarm Kit can be easily armed or disarmed using a key, offering convenient control over the Exit Device's security mode. The assembly includes both a 24VDC Input and External Inhibit as standard features, allowing for remote arming and disarming. Its key switch is compatible with a standard 1 1⁄4" (32mm) Mortise cylinder with a straight cam (Schlage 20-001, L583-477 cam), ensuring seamless integration with existing security setups.
Operating on a single standard 9-volt alkaline battery, the ALK Alarm Kit guarantees long-lasting and reliable performance. When the battery weakens, the horn emits an intermittent low battery alert signal, prompting timely battery replacement.
To further enhance security, the ALK Alarm Kit includes a complimentary 6" x 20" decal displaying "EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY. ALARM WILL SOUND." for easy application on doors, providing a visual deterrent. Alternatively, you can specify RSS push bar trim when ordering the device instead of using the door decal.
The ALK Alarm Kit is a versatile solution, accommodating various door configurations. While standard dogging is removed when the ALK is used, for 3' or 4' doors requiring cylinder dogging, the ALK can be relocated to the hinge side of the device, allowing for standard cylinder dogging to be added.
