1) Can the WAC Loophole WS-61334 vanity light be installed in a shower or over a tub?
The Loophole WS-61334 carries a Damp location rating with IP44 and ETL/cETL certification, so it's good for a bathroom wall or vanity and for covered exterior spots, but not for a wet location like the inside of a shower enclosure or anywhere it takes direct water. Over a tub outside the spray zone is within a damp rating.
2) How big is the WAC Loophole WS-61334 and how much wall does it cover?
It's a tall, slim fixture: 34 inches in height and only 1.25 inches wide, with a 6.25 inch backplate. That means a narrow junction-box canopy and a vertical run of light, so it works flanking a mirror rather than spanning above it. Check you have 34 inches of clear wall between the counter backsplash and the ceiling or any upper cabinet before you commit.
3) Do I have to order a specific color temperature on the Loophole WS-61334, or can I change it on site?
Both. The fixture is offered as WS-61334-27-BK, -30-BK and -35-BK, but every one of them has Tri-CCT: a switch inside the canopy, reachable during installation, toggles 2700K, 3000K and 3500K. Units ship pre-set to 3000K. So if you're standardizing a building you can set them all in the field without worrying about which part number arrived.
4) Will the WAC Loophole WS-61334 work on my dimmer, and what kind do I need?
It dims on ELV (electronic low voltage) or TRIAC dimmers. A standard incandescent-only dimmer that isn't TRIAC-compatible with LED drivers will give you flicker or drop-out. Specify an ELV or LED/TRIAC dimmer on the circuit. The fixture is hardwired and accepts 120-240-277V, so it drops onto commercial 277V lighting circuits as well as residential 120V.
5) Does the WAC Loophole WS-61334 meet California Title 24 or ADA requirements?
No on both counts. The Loophole WS-61334 is not Title 24 compliant, not Title 20 listed, and not ADA compliant, and it isn't Energy Star rated. If you're specifying for a California permit or a corridor that needs ADA-limited projection, this isn't the fixture to put on the drawing.
6) Is the Loophole WS-61334 bright enough to be the only light over a bathroom vanity?
It puts out 1805 lumens on 29W with a flood distribution, and the silicone diffuser spreads light omnidirectionally rather than throwing it in one direction. A pair flanking the mirror gives even face lighting with no hard shadows. As a single fixture on one side of a mirror it will light the room but you'll get uneven cross-lighting on the face.
7) Can I mount the WAC Loophole WS-61334 horizontally above a mirror?
Mounting method is listed as Wall and Any, so the 34 inch body can run vertically beside a mirror or horizontally above it. Keep the canopy over the junction box either way, and note the 6.25 inch backplate is the only part that lands on the box, so the long body cantilevers off it.
8) Do I need to buy bulbs for the WAC Loophole WS-61334, and what happens when the LED fails?
Nothing to buy. It's a single integrated LED with no socket or replaceable lamp, rated 50,000 average hours. Because the light source is integrated, there is no field lamp replacement, the fixture is the serviceable unit. For MRO stocking that means carrying spare fixtures, not spare lamps.
9) What is the WAC Loophole WS-61334 made of, and will it hold up in a high-humidity multi-family bathroom?
Body is aluminum with a silicone diffuser, finished in black. Aluminum plus silicone and the IP44 damp rating handle shower steam in a vented bathroom. Silicone won't crack or yellow-shatter the way an acrylic lens can take abuse, and there's no glass to break in a turnover unit.
