1) How low can the WAC Ellington 10 inch LED mini pendant hang over an island?
Mounting height runs from 19 inches at the shortest to 118 inches at the longest. The 19 inch figure is the pendant's own height with no down rod added; the rods supplied (three 12 inch and one 6 inch) plus the 120 inches of included wire get you out to the 118 inch maximum. Additional down rods are sold separately if you need an intermediate length combination.
2) Can the Ellington mini pendant go over a bathtub or on a covered porch?
Yes, within limits. The Ellington is damp location rated and carries an IP44 rating, so it is suitable for indoor use and covered exterior locations such as a porch ceiling or a soffit. It is not a wet location fixture, so keep it out of direct rain or spray.
3) What dimmer works with the WAC Ellington LED pendant?
It dims on either an electronic low voltage (ELV) or a TRIAC dimmer. WAC calls for an ELV dimmer for smooth continuous dimming, and the transformer that drives the integrated LED is concealed inside the canopy, so there is no remote driver to find a home for. A standard incandescent-only dimmer is not the right control here.
4) Will the Ellington pendant run on 277V in a commercial building?
Yes. The fixture is rated 120-240-277V, so the same part number works on residential 120V and on 277V commercial lighting circuits. It is hardwired for ceiling mounting, not a plug-in portable.
5) How much light does one 10 inch Ellington pendant actually put out?
340 lumens at 7 watts, 3000K, with a flood distribution through the etched opal glass. That is accent-level output, not task lighting. Over an island or a dining table plan on a run of two or three in multiples rather than relying on a single pendant to light the space.
6) What size canopy does the Ellington pendant cover on the ceiling?
The backplate measures 5.88 inches by 5.88 inches, so it covers a standard round 4 inch octagon or fixture box with room to spare. The fixture body itself is 10 inches wide by 10 inches long and 19 inches tall before any rod is added.

10) Can the rings be aimed after the Ellington pendant is installed?
Yes. The outer ring rotates a full 360 degrees around the glass dome, so a row of pendants can be set to a consistent angle, or deliberately staggered, after the stems are hung. The stem enters the top of the outer ring and the center ring is supported from below.
