Yes. The 14 inch Eliot sconce runs on 120V AC LED technology with no separate driver or transformer, so it fits on a pancake junction box. The backplate is 6 inches, which covers a standard round box opening. It is a hardwired fixture, not plug-in.
2) Is the 14 inch Eliot sconce rated for an exposed exterior wall with no overhang?
Yes. The Eliot carries a Wet location rating and an IP65 rating along with ETL and cETL listings, so it can go on an unprotected exterior wall. It is also rated for indoor use, so the same fixture can be used in covered entries, breezeways, and interior runs.
3) Will the WAC Eliot WS-W37114 work on my existing dimmer?
It dims smoothly on an electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmer. Standard incandescent/magnetic-only dimmers and 0-10V controls are not what this fixture is built for, so if the wall box currently has an old rotary or basic incandescent dimmer, plan on swapping it for an ELV or TRIAC model.
