1) Can the WAC Flo 36 inch LED vanity light be mounted on the ceiling as well as the wall?
Yes. The Flo WS-236-CS-WT mounts on a wall or a ceiling in any orientation, so the same fixture works as a vanity bar over a mirror or as a surface flush mount in a hallway, closet or utility room. Mounting method is listed as wall or any orientation, and the backplate runs the full 36 inches.
2) Will one Flo LED fixture run on 120V in a house and 277V in a commercial building?
It will. The Flo uses a universal input driver rated 120-240-277V, so the same part number can be stocked for residential 120V work and for 277V commercial circuits. The driver is included in the fixture and it is a hardwired unit, not plug-in. Leads are 6 inches, so plan the box location accordingly.
3) How do you change the color temperature on the WAC Flo 5-CCT vanity light?
There is an on-board selectable switch inside the fixture. Twist off the acrylic diffuser and flip the switch to pick 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K. It can be reached before, during or after installation, so you can match an existing run of fixtures on site instead of ordering a specific CCT.
4) Does this WAC Flo vanity light work with standard LED dimmers?
Dimming is ELV and TRIAC, 100 percent down to 5 percent, smooth and continuous. WAC recommends an electronic low voltage or TRIAC dimmer. A standard incandescent-only slide dimmer is not what this is tuned for, so spec an ELV or TRIAC LED dimmer to avoid flicker or drop-out at the low end.
5) Is the Flo LED fixture rated for a bathroom over a shower or tub area?
It carries a Damp location rating and is ETL and cETL listed for the USA and Canada, which covers a bathroom vanity, a covered porch or a corridor. Damp is not wet rated, so do not use it where it will take direct water spray or sit uncovered outdoors.
6) Does the WAC Flo meet California Title 24 and ADA requirements for a multifamily bathroom?
Yes on both counts. The Flo is ADA compliant, Title 24 compliant, CEC listed, and Energy Star certified, which is the combination California multifamily and institutional projects usually need. Its projection off the wall is 2.5 inches, which keeps it inside ADA protrusion limits for a corridor-mounted sconce.
7) What size opening does the 36 inch Flo vanity bar take up, and how far does it stick out?
