1) Will the WAC Nightstick WS-35873 mount over a standard 4 inch junction box?
Yes. The Nightstick WS-35873 ships with a decorative plate for installation over a standard 4 inch junction box. It is a hardwired fixture at 120V, so you need a supplied box behind it. The body spans 73.06 inches, but the electrical connection lands at the single box, so plan your rough-in at the point on the bar you want centered or aligned.
2) Can the 73 inch Nightstick LED bar be mounted vertically beside a mirror instead of horizontally above it?
It can. The Nightstick mounts vertically, horizontally, at an angle, or on the ceiling. At 73.06 inches long and only 1.31 inches deep off the wall, a vertical run flanking a mirror works as well as a horizontal run over it. Two units flanking a mirror is a common vanity layout with this bar.
3) What dimmer works with the WAC Nightstick vanity bar?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer. The Nightstick is ELV dimmable and gives smooth, continuous dimming on that control type. A standard incandescent or MLV dimmer is the wrong match and is the usual cause of flicker or drop-out complaints on integrated LED bars.
4) Is this fixture safe to install directly over a shower or tub?
The Nightstick carries a Damp location rating with IP44 ingress protection, and it is listed for indoor or covered outdoor use. That covers a bathroom with normal shower humidity and a covered exterior soffit or porch. It is not a wet location fixture, so do not put it in an uncovered exterior position or in direct spray inside a shower enclosure.
