1) Can the WAC Lighting FM-37416 Pinpoint flush mount be installed on a wall instead of a ceiling?
Yes. The FM-37416 Pinpoint can be mounted on a ceiling or a wall in any orientation, so the same fixture works as a ceiling flush mount or a wall sconce. The LED driver is concealed inside the canopy, so no remote driver location or separate housing is needed in the wall or ceiling cavity.
2) Is the color temperature on the FM-37416 fixed, or can we change it after it is installed?
Both options are open. The Pinpoint FM-37416 has built-in color temperature adjustability across 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. You can pre-select the temperature when ordering (FM-37416-27-BK, -30-BK, -35-BK and -40-BK correspond to 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K) or switch it in the field. For a multi-unit job where you want all rooms to match later, the field-switchable selector means one stocked part can cover several specs.
3) What dimmer type works with the WAC Pinpoint FM-37416?
It dims on either ELV or TRIAC controls. On an ELV dimmer the range is 100 percent down to 10 percent; on a TRIAC (forward phase) dimmer it goes 100 percent to 5 percent. If you need the deeper dim for a hospitality or bedroom application, spec the TRIAC control.
4) Will the FM-37416 run on 277V commercial circuits?
Yes. The Pinpoint flush mount accepts 120-277V, 50/60Hz input, so the same fixture can be used on 120V residential branch circuits and on 277V commercial lighting circuits without a different model. Power draw is 38W.
5) How much light does the FM-37416 put out, and is it enough for a hallway or small room?
Delivered output is 1095 lumens at 38W, with a 90 CRI. That is a general-ambient level suited to entries, hallways, baths and small bedrooms rather than a primary light for a large open room. The 90 CRI matters where color rendering is judged, such as retail display, lobbies and bath vanities.
6) Is the FM-37416 a recessed can light or a surface mounted fixture?
It is a surface flush mount, not a recessed downlight. There is no housing to drop into a ceiling cut-out; the canopy mounts to the outlet box on the ceiling or wall surface and holds the driver inside it. That makes it a practical choice for concrete decks or finished ceilings where you cannot cut in a recessed can.
7) What finish does the WAC Pinpoint FM-37416 come in?
