1) Will the WAC JTK-763 track head fit my existing J-type track?
Yes. The JTK-763 is built as a J track fixture, so it mounts to J-series (J-type) line voltage track, running at 120V. It will not seat in H or L track systems, and it is not a low voltage head, so don't put it on a 12V monorail or rail system.
2) What bulb does the WAC JTK-763 track head take, and is one included?
It takes a single PAR20 lamp, and no lamp ships with the head, so order bulbs separately. Maximum is 50 watts. Either incandescent or LED PAR20 lamps can be used, which is how most buyers retrofit these to LED without changing the fixture.
3) Can the JTK-763 be used in a covered exterior entry or a bathroom with a shower?
No. This head carries a dry location rating and is listed for interior use only. Keep it out of bathrooms with direct shower exposure, covered patios, canopies, and unconditioned spaces, and specify a damp or wet rated fixture for those openings.
4) Can I dim these track heads on an existing wall dimmer?
The JTK-763 head is dimmable, but because it uses a replaceable PAR20 lamp rather than an integrated LED driver, the dimming behavior comes from the lamp you install. A standard incandescent PAR20 dims on a line voltage dimmer; with an LED PAR20, use a lamp rated dimmable and match it to the dimmer type.
5) What finishes does the WAC JTK-763 come in, and can I match the heads to my existing track?
Three finishes: black (JTK-763-BK), brushed nickel (JTK-763-BN), and white (JTK-763-WT). For a retail or office run where the track itself is visible, order the head finish to match the track extrusion, black on black and white on white being the usual pairings.
6) Is the JTK-763 track head UL listed, and does it meet ADA or Title 24?
UL and cUL listed, and CEC listed. It is not ADA compliant and is not Title 24 compliant, so on a California project or where protruding-object clearance is enforced along a corridor, this head will not satisfy those requirements on its own.
7) Can these heads be mounted on track running up a wall or at an angle, not just the ceiling?
The JTK-763 is a reversible mounting head, so it can be oriented for track that is not in the usual ceiling-down position, such as a wall-mounted or soffit run used to wash artwork or a display. Aiming range still depends on the head's own joint, and the track must be a 120V J-type system.
