WAC Lighting WAC-T24-OD2-40 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What voltage does the WAC Lighting T24-OD2-40 strip light run on, and do I need a separate driver?
The T24-OD2-40 is a 24VDC strip light, so it has to be fed from a 24V DC low voltage power supply. It does not connect to line voltage directly. Size the supply to the total run length you are installing and keep the output at 24VDC.
2) Can the T24-OD2-40 LED strip be used outside, or is it indoor only?
It is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, so the same part works for an exterior cove or soffit run and for interior under-cabinet or toe-kick work. That lets a property manager standardize on one strip across inside and outside locations.
3) Which color temperatures does WAC Lighting offer in the T24-OD2-40 strip light?
Three: 2700K (T24-OD2-40-27), 3000K (T24-OD2-40-30), and 4000K (T24-OD2-40-40). Warm 2700K suits residential and hospitality exteriors, 3000K is the common commercial warm white, and 4000K reads cooler and brighter for parking, service, and task areas. Order by the suffix so the whole job matches.
4) I need to add to an existing WAC landscape lighting run. Does this strip fit that system?
The T24-OD2-40 is part of WAC's Landscape family and runs on 24VDC, so it ties into a 24V landscape or low voltage lighting system fed by a 24VDC supply. It will not work on a 12V transformer.
5) What finish does the T24-OD2-40 strip light come in?
Black only, in all three color temperatures. If the strip will be visible against a light surface, plan on a channel or trim to hide it, since there is no white or bronze option in this model.
