WAC Lighting WAC-6401-27 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the WAC 6401-27 a 12V low voltage fixture or does it run on line voltage?
It's a 12V fixture, so it runs off a low voltage landscape transformer and low voltage cable, not a 120V circuit. If your run is already on a 120V line voltage system you'd need a transformer sized for the total connected load before this will work.
2) What finishes does the WAC Lighting 6401-27 path light come in?
Two finishes: Black on Aluminum, ordered as 6401-27BK, and Bronze on Aluminum, ordered as 6401-27BZ. Both are the 2700K version of the fixture, so the color temperature is the same either way and only the housing finish changes. For a property with mixed landscape hardware, matching the existing fixture finish matters more than anything else here, since the aluminum body is the visible part along a walk or bed.
3) How do I order the right WAC 6401 path light, by finish or by color temperature?
Both get specified in the part number. The 6401-27 covers the 2700K build, and the finish suffix finishes the number: BK for Black on Aluminum, BZ for Bronze on Aluminum. Give your supplier the full suffix (6401-27BK or 6401-27BZ) so the finish isn't left to chance on a multi fixture order.
4) What is the 6401 WAC Landscape fixture used for, walkways or planting beds?
It's a linear adjustable path and area light from the WAC Landscape line, so it's built for walkway, driveway edge, and bed or area washing rather than uplighting a facade. The adjustable head lets you aim the linear output across the surface you want lit instead of fixing it straight down.
