WAC Lighting WAC-6401-30 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the WAC 6401-30 a line voltage fixture or does it need a landscape transformer?
It is a 12V low voltage fixture, so it runs off a landscape transformer rather than being wired directly to 120V. Plan for a 12V magnetic or electronic landscape transformer sized for the total connected load on the run, and low voltage landscape cable to the fixture.
2) What finishes does the WAC Lighting 6401-30 path and area light come in?
Two factory finishes on aluminum: black (6401-30BK) and bronze (6401-30BZ). Both are built on the same linear adjustable 12V LED path and area light head, so you can mix them across a site and keep the same beam and mounting without changing the fixture.
3) What color temperature is the WAC 6401-30 LED path light?
2700K, a warm white. That is the usual choice for residential landscape and walkway lighting because it keeps planting and stonework looking warm rather than blue. Both the black and bronze versions are 2700K.
4) Can the beam on the WAC 6401-30 be aimed after it is installed?
Yes, it is an adjustable head, so the linear light output can be re-aimed on site. That matters on a walkway job where you want to wash the paving rather than throw light into a guest's eyes, or on a wall and area application where the aim has to be set after the hardscape is finished.
5) Is the 6401-30 meant for pathway lighting or for area and wall washing?
Both. WAC classes it as a path and area light, and the linear output plus the adjustable head let it work as a walkway marker or, aimed wider, as a low level wash across a planting bed or courtyard. If you need a tight accent on a tree or a facade feature, a directional landscape accent or spot fixture is the better tool; this one is built for broad, low-level coverage.
6) Will the WAC 6401-30 match other WAC landscape fixtures already on the property?
It is part of the WAC Landscape family, so it shares the black and bronze finish language used across that line. For a property manager standardizing a site, specifying 6401-30BZ or 6401-30BK alongside other WAC Landscape 12V fixtures keeps finish and color temperature consistent on one transformer run.
