1) What color temperature and CRI options does the WAC Aether 2 inch round wall wash trimless come in?
The R2ARWL is ordered by a three digit code that sets CRI first, then color temperature. At 85 CRI you can get 827 (2700K), 830 (3000K), 835 (3500K) and 840 (4000K). At 90 CRI the choices narrow to 927 (2700K) and 930 (3000K), so if the spec calls for 90 CRI you are limited to the two warmer temperatures.
2) Is there more than one beam option on the Aether R2ARWL wall wash downlight?
No. Every R2ARWL is built with the asymmetric beam, carried in the part number as the A in codes like A830 or A927. That asymmetric distribution is what throws light across a vertical surface instead of straight down, so if you need a symmetric downlight beam you are looking at a different Aether 2 inch trim, not this wall wash.
3) I need 4000K at 90 CRI for a retail wall wash, does the WAC R2ARWL offer it?
No. On the Aether 2 inch round trimless wall wash, 90 CRI stops at 3000K. The 90 CRI codes are 927 and 930 only, while 3500K and 4000K are built at 85 CRI as 835 and 840. If the drawing calls for 4000K you are taking 85 CRI; if 90 CRI is the hard requirement, 3000K is the coolest you can go.
4) What do the two finish codes BKWT and HZWT mean on the R2ARWL wall wash?
Both are two part finishes: the first half is the interior cone, the second is the trimless flange side. BKWT is black with white, HZWT is haze with white. Every color temperature offered on the R2ARWL is available in either one, so picking 3000K at 90 CRI in haze/white gives R2ARWL-A930-HZWT and the black version is R2ARWL-A930-BKWT.
5) How do I read a WAC R2ARWL part number so I order the right wall wash?
Read it in three chunks. R2ARWL is the 2 inch round trimless wall wash housing trim. The middle block is beam plus CRI and color temperature, A for asymmetric then the CCT code, for example A835 is 3500K at 85 CRI. The last block is finish, BKWT for black/white or HZWT for haze/white. R2ARWL-A835-HZWT is the 3500K, 85 CRI, haze and white unit.
6) Can I mix the black and haze R2ARWL wall washes on the same job and keep the light matched?
Yes, as long as you hold the color code the same. Finish and light output are specified separately on the R2ARWL, so R2ARWL-A840-BKWT and R2ARWL-A840-HZWT are both 4000K at 85 CRI and differ only in the cone. Where it goes wrong is mixing an 830 with a 930: both are 3000K but one is 85 CRI and one is 90, and on a wall wash grazing the same surface that difference shows.
