1) Can the WAC Eclipse 54 inch ceiling fan be mounted on a sloped ceiling?
Yes, the Eclipse is sloped ceiling compatible. It ships as a downrod-mount fan with a 7 inch canopy, and the fan body measures 14.96 inches in height before any added downrod. If your ceiling pitch is steep or you need more blade clearance over a tall room, plan on a longer downrod, which is a separate order item.
2) Is the WAC Eclipse smart fan rated for a covered patio or a bathroom?
The Eclipse carries a damp location rating, so it works for covered porches, breezeways, screened patios and bathrooms where it sees humidity but no direct rain or spray. Do not hang it in an open, unprotected exterior location that takes weather.
3) Does the Eclipse fan come with a light, and can the LED be dimmed?
A light kit is included and built in: one integrated LED behind opal frosted glass, 1600 lumens at 3000K, drawing 56 watts. It is dimmable through the fan's controls, and the light throws downward only. There is no socket to change a bulb, the LED module is the light source, rated 50,000 hours.
4) Is a remote included with the WAC Eclipse fan or do I need to buy a wall control?
A remote is included in the box. WAC and Modern Forms fans use a battery operated Bluetooth remote with a wall cradle (F-RCBT-WT). If the job calls for a hardwired wall station, the Bluetooth wall control F-WCBT-WT is ordered separately, and buying two or more lets you set up 3-way or 4-way switching. Control is also available through the Modern Forms app on iOS or Android.
5) Does the Eclipse fan meet California Title 24 and Energy Star requirements?
Yes on all three counts the spec sheet states: Energy Star qualified, Title 20 compliant and Title 24 compliant, and the fan is listed as ADA compliant. That covers the usual paperwork for California projects and for institutional specs that require Energy Star fixtures.

Yes, the Eclipse has a reversible DC motor, so you can flip it to updraft in heating season and push warm air back down off the ceiling. Six speeds are available in either direction, and the DC motor draws far less power than a comparable AC fan.
