Metallics RWF12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size bolt or screw does the Metallics RWF12 rubber washer fit?
The RWF12 is a flat rubber washer with a 1/8 inch inside diameter, so it slips over 1/8 inch diameter rod, screw or bolt shanks. If your fastener is larger than 1/8 inch, this is the wrong washer.
2) How many washers come in a pack of Metallics RWF12?
Ten washers per pack. One order of RWF12 gives you 10 pieces, which is why it is usually bought as a service-truck or MRO stock item rather than one at a time.
3) Is the RWF12 washer rubber or metal, and what is rubber better for?
It is a rubber flat washer, not steel. Rubber is what you reach for when you want the washer to seal or cushion under the fastener head, or to keep a metal fastener from rattling or marring the surface it clamps. Where you need load spreading or high clamp force instead, use a steel flat washer.
4) Are there other sizes of the Metallics RWF12 rubber washer?
RWF12 is a single model, the 1/8 inch ID version. There are no other sizes or options under this model number, so order by ID: if your fastener is not 1/8 inch, you need a different Metallics washer part number.
