Metallics JSWBR16 Washers 10 Flat Br (Jar 100)

The JSWBR16 is solid brass, which matters where you are bolting metal to metal and want to avoid the galvanic and rust issues a bare steel washer brings, and where conductivity through the joint is part of the point, bonding and grounding connections being the usual case. Brass also stays serviceable in damp locations where plated steel starts to bloom. For dry, non-conductive, purely structural clamping, a steel washer is the cheaper choice.

A flat washer like the JSWBR16 spreads load and protects the surface, it does not resist loosening. On a connection subject to vibration or thermal cycling, pair it with a split lock washer or a locknut, with the brass flat washer against the work surface. Use brass against brass or copper hardware so you are not mixing dissimilar metals in the stack.

One hundred #10 brass flat washers per jar. The jar pack is the useful part for a service van or a shop drawer, the washers stay contained instead of migrating around a bin, and 100 is a normal replenishment quantity for panel, enclosure and bonding work rather than a bulk box you store for years.
