No. The latch shipped with the 0700 Atlas is adjustable and sets to either 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inches, the two backsets used on residential doors. Measure from the door edge to the center of the bore, then set the latch to match on site. One part number covers both, which is why it works for a property manager buying a batch for mixed openings.
2) Will the Weslock 0700 latch into the strike plate that is already in my frame?
Probably not without swapping the strike. The 0700 Atlas throws a 1/2 inch latchbolt and comes with a 2-1/4 by 1-3/4 inch radius corner full lip strike. If your frame has a square corner strike or a smaller T-strike, either swap in the included full lip strike or use the square strike option. 3) Is the Weslock 0700 Atlas lever strong enough for an apartment building or office?
It is certified to ANSI Grade 3 and is built for residential use, with a solid zinc body, square spindle and dual spring housings to keep the lever from sagging. Grade 3 suits homes and light multi-family interior doors. For a commercial corridor or a school, step up to a Grade 2 or Grade 1 passage lever such as the Falcon B101 (Grade 2, medium duty) or the Falcon K101 (Grade 1, heavy duty).
4) The Weslock 0700 Atlas is residential Grade 3 - what passage lever should I use on a commercial corridor instead?
Step up to a Grade 1 cylindrical passage lever. The Falcon K101 is a Grade 1 heavy duty passage lock with non-handed levers, fire rated, and fits doors from 1-3/8 inch up to 2-1/4 inch. The Corbin Russwin CL3110 is another Grade 1 passage/closet lever, vandal resistant and fire rated, for 1-3/4 inch to 2 inch doors. The Weslock 0700 Atlas is specified for residential use, so for a high traffic commercial opening either of those Grade 1 sets is the right direction.
5) I need a lock for a bedroom or bathroom instead of a hall door - what takes the place of the Weslock 0700 Atlas?
The Weslock 0700 Atlas is passage function and non-keyed, so both levers always turn freely and there is no privacy hold. For a bed or bath door you want a privacy set: the Kwikset 300BRNL RDT Breton is a Grade 3 privacy lever for 1-3/8 inch to 1-3/4 inch doors, and the Hager 2540 with Withnell lever is a Grade 2 privacy cylindrical lock for 1-3/8 inch to 2 inch doors. 6) I need the back door to lock with a key - can I order the Weslock 0700 Atlas keyed?
No. The Weslock 0700 Atlas is non-keyed passage function. Weslock's own guidance is to pair a passage set with a separate deadbolt when you want to secure a back door. If you would rather have one keyed lever, the Cal-Royal AG00 entrance lever is Grade 2 with a 6-pin Schlage C keyway keyed different and a 2-3/8 inch backset for 1-3/8 inch to 1-3/4 inch doors, and the Hager 2525 is a Grade 2 commercial cylindrical entry lever for 1-3/8 inch to 2 inch doors.
7) Is the Weslock 0700 lever handed? I have doors swinging both directions.
Non-handed. The same 0700 Atlas set installs on a left or right hand door with no reversing step, so you can order one quantity for a whole floor of mixed swings.
8) What is a comparable passage lever to the Weslock 0700 if I need a different look or a higher grade?

Those have no latch and no bore requirement.
10) Will the Weslock 0700 work on a solid core 2 inch thick door?
No. The 0700 Atlas tops out at 1-3/4 inches. For a thicker slab, look at a lever rated past that range, like the Hager 2510 passage lever (1-3/8 to 2 inches) or the Falcon K101 (1-3/8 to 2-1/4 inches).
11) Does a dummy lever work in place of the Weslock 0700 Atlas passage lever?
