Sta-Kon RBJ – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Sta-Kon RBJ end cap used for?
The RBJ is an insulated end cap for wire joints, used to close off and insulate a spliced or capped conductor end. It is a vinyl insulated wire joint with a brass body under a white PVC insulation.
2) Is the Sta-Kon RBJ end cap metal inside, or just a plastic cap?
There is metal in it. The conductive body is brass, with vinyl insulation over it, so it is a terminating connector rather than a plain plastic sleeve.
3) What color is the Sta-Kon RBJ end cap, and does the color indicate anything?
White. On Sta-Kon insulated terminations the insulation color is how crews identify one cap size from another on the bench, so if your panel schedule or existing work calls out a different color cap, you want a different model, not this one.
4) What is the exact part number to order the Sta-Kon white insulated end cap?
Order it as Sta-Kon RBJ. That is the manufacturer part number for the white PVC insulated end cap, and the model is sold as a single configuration, so there are no length or finish choices to specify.
5) Where is the Sta-Kon RBJ end cap made?
Japan. Procurement buyers tracking country of origin on submittals should record it as JP.
