Thomas & Betts WMG-PC22 WIREMESH GRIP SST 1.75-1.875

The WMG-PC22 is sized for cable in the 1.75 to 1.875 inch diameter range. Mesh grips only hold properly when the cable falls inside the stated range, so measure the jacket OD before ordering; a cable under 1.75 inches will slip in this size and you want the next smaller grip instead.

Stainless steel. That matters for outdoor, washdown, coastal, and corrosive industrial runs where a plain steel or galvanized mesh would rust out at the weave. For dry interior conduit work either material will do the job, but stainless is what you want on exposed risers and wet locations.

A wire mesh grip is the woven sleeve that grabs a cable's jacket and takes the pulling or supporting load off the terminations. Electricians use them to pull large cable through conduit and to support vertical cable runs at the top of a riser so the conductors are not hanging on their own connections. The Thomas & Betts WMG-PC22 is the stainless steel version sized for 1.75 to 1.875 inch cable.

Grips are ordered by cable outside diameter, not by conduit trade size. Measure the finished jacket OD of the cable you are pulling or supporting and match it to the grip's range; the WMG-PC22 covers 1.75 to 1.875 inches. If you have a mixed run of cable sizes, you need a separate grip per diameter band rather than one grip stretched across all of them.
