Color is how the WireTwist line is sized, and gray is the WT1. Each color in the family covers a different conductor combination and range, so the gray WT1 is correct only for the combinations assigned to the WT1 model. If your splice is a different wire count or gauge mix, order the WireTwist color that matches that combination instead of forcing the gray one on.

Each box holds 100 of the gray WT1 WireTwist connectors, ordered under part number WT1-1. That pack size is what makes it a stock item for panel builds, device rough-in and service trucks rather than a one-off repair purchase.

The WT1 shell is a flame-retardant thermoplastic rated UL 94V-2 and good to 105 degrees C (221 degrees F). That is the figure to check against conduit and fixture-box temperature limits on recessed lighting and other warm locations.

On the WT1 WireTwist, the shell uses a deep skirt that extends down over the conductor insulation to guard against flash-over, so bare copper stays inside the shell. The spring itself is a fixed, square-wire design that bites into the conductors as you twist to hold the connection.
