Blackburn FBE4H150A1-24 XFLEX BRAID 4 9/16H 11/32X3 X 24 IN

It's a flat, extra-flexible tin-plated copper braid connector with a 4-hole pad, used to make a current-carrying connection between two points that move relative to each other or need vibration isolation, typical of switchgear, disconnects, bus work and transformer terminations. Braid is what you use when the connection has to move. Rigid bar transmits thermal expansion, shock and vibration straight into the terminals; round cable resists bending in the plane you often need. A flat extra-flexible braid flexes easily across its width while keeping a large surface area for current, which is why it's specified on breaker and disconnect connections. The 24 inch figure is the braid length, and a flexible braid is meant to be installed with some slack, not stretched taut. Over-length is usually workable since the extra forms a loop, but a span much shorter than 24 inches leaves a large loop that has to clear live parts and enclosure walls. If your centers are well under 24 inches, step down to a shorter length in the same FBE 4-hole family rather than coiling this one.
