Yes. The 10316H1006 carries NEMA 7 Division I Class I Groups B, C and D and NEMA 9 Division I Class II Groups E, F and G. That covers both flammable gas/vapor atmospheres and combustible dust areas, so it suits grain handling, paint spray, and petrochemical locations. Approval status for CSA and CE is handled by the factory, so do not assume those marks on the standard build.

You can, with a polarity restriction. The 10316H1006 has one normally open and one normally closed contact. Per the manufacturer notes, the 1NO-1NC contacts must be the same polarity when both circuits are used; the notes also state the poles are isolated and may be used on opposite polarity. Because those two statements conflict, treat dual-circuit wiring on opposite polarity as something to confirm with the factory before you commit the design.

Yes. Contacts are rated 10A at 600Vac, so a 480V AC control circuit is within range. On DC the switch is much more limited, 0.2A at 125Vdc, so it is not suitable for switching DC solenoids or brakes of any size directly. For DC loads above a fraction of an amp, run the switch into an interposing relay.

It is a top push roller actuator. The roller sits on top of the switch body and is driven straight down, so the moving object, cam, or dog has to come over the top of the switch rather than sweep past the side. If your machine travel is horizontal past the switch, you need a lever or side rotary style actuator instead, or a cam ramp that converts the horizontal travel into vertical plunger motion.

Operating range is -20 to 200 degrees F (-29 to 93 degrees C), which covers most cold outdoor installations and hot process areas like dryers, ovens surrounds, and boiler rooms. The die cast aluminum enclosure holds up in those swings. Below -20F you are outside the rating.

The housing is die cast aluminum, which is standard for NEMA 7 and 9 explosionproof enclosures and fine in general industrial and dusty environments. It is not a stainless or corrosion-resistant specialty body, so in chemical mist, salt air, or caustic washdown service check that aluminum suits the chemistry on your site.
