Metallics SPN1116 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size cable does the Metallics SPN1116 clamp hold?
The SPN1116 is an 11/16 inch neoprene-wrapped cable clamp, so it's sized to grip cable or small conduit at an 11/16 inch outside diameter. Match the OD of what you're strapping to that 11/16 figure rather than the conductor size printed on the jacket.
2) Is the Metallics SPN1116 cable clamp cushioned, or is it bare metal against the cable?
It's a neoprene-wrapped steel clamp. The steel body carries the load and the neoprene wrap sits between the clamp and the cable, so the jacket isn't bearing directly on metal. That's the usual choice where vibration or chafing would otherwise cut into a jacket.
3) What is the Metallics part number to order for an 11/16 neoprene-lined cable clamp?
Order Metallics SPN1116. That single part number covers the 11/16 inch neoprene-wrapped steel cable clamp, with no finish or size options to specify alongside it.
