Metallics RJK1B – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What pipe or conduit sizes does the Metallics RJK1B roof jack cover?
The RJK1B roof jack is sized for 1/4 inch through 2 inch penetrations, so one part covers everything from small refrigerant line sets up to 2 inch conduit coming through the roof deck.
2) How big is the base flange on the RJK1B roof jack?
Base measures 4-1/2 inches on the Metallics RJK1B. That is the footprint you have to seal and fasten to the roof surface around the penetration, so check you have that much clear flat area before you cut.
3) Do I need a separate roof jack for each conduit size, or will the RJK1B work for several?
One RJK1B handles the whole 1/4 to 2 inch range, so a contractor running mixed conduit and line sizes on the same roof can stock a single part number instead of a size-by-size assortment. That is the main reason crews carry this over single-size boots.
4) What exact part number should I order for the Metallics 1/4 to 2 inch roof jack?
Order Metallics RJK1B. It is a single-model item, with no finish or size options to specify, covering 1/4 to 2 inch penetrations with a 4-1/2 inch base.
