1) Will a 1/4-20 machine screw thread into standard electrical box and strut hardware?
The Metallics JFM128 is a 1/4-20 UNC thread, 20 threads per inch, made to ANSI/ASME B1.1. That is the standard coarse 1/4 inch machine screw thread, so it mates with any 1/4-20 tapped hole or nut, which is the common size for strut fittings, box mounting hardware and equipment panels. It is not a self-tapping screw, so the hole has to already be tapped or you need a matching nut.
2) Can I use these screws on a Buy American or ARRA funded job?
