1) Will this 1/4 inch street elbow thread onto standard 1/4 inch black pipe?
Yes. Both ends are 1/4 inch and cut to ASME B1.20.1, the NPT taper thread standard used on ordinary black and galvanized pipe and fittings. The female end takes a 1/4 inch male pipe end or nipple; the male end threads into any 1/4 inch FPT port. Use pipe dope or PTFE tape on the taper threads as usual.
