Elastimold 655CA-L – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What cable diameter range does the Elastimold 655CA-L adapter fit?
The 655CA-L cable adapter accepts cable insulation outside diameters from 1.18 to 1.465 inches. Measure the OD over the cable insulation, not over the jacket or shield, and confirm it falls inside that window before ordering. Cable outside that range needs a different adapter size in the series.
2) What voltage and current rating is the Elastimold 655CA-L rated for?
It is a 15/25 kV class, 600 amp cable adapter. That makes it a 600 A deadbreak-class accessory for medium voltage distribution at either 15 kV or 25 kV class, so one part number covers both classes on a utility or industrial switchgear job.
3) Is the Elastimold 655CA-L the right part number to order, or is it a kit designation?
655CA-L is the Elastimold manufacturer part number for the adapter itself, and it is the number to quote or purchase against. There is one configuration, so the only thing to verify is that your cable insulation OD lands between 1.18 and 1.465 inches.
