1) Is the 10250TA66 a two-button start/stop unit, and can both buttons be pressed at once?
No, both cannot be pressed at once. The 10250TA66 uses mechanically interlocked actuators in black and green, so pressing one releases or blocks the other. That's what you want for a forward/reverse or start/stop station where simultaneous operation would be a problem.
2) Does the 10250TA66 pushbutton stay in position when pressed, or does it spring back?
It stays put. Operating mode is maintained, so the button latches in the position you press it to and holds the circuit until the other interlocked button is pressed. If you need a button that returns on release for jog or momentary control, this is the wrong operator, look for a momentary 10250T operator instead.
3) Can this heavy-duty pushbutton operator be used outdoors or in a washdown area?
Yes. The 10250TA66 carries NEMA 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings, which covers outdoor rain and sleet exposure, hosedown and corrosion-resistant 4X duty, plus indoor dust, oil and coolant environments. It needs to be mounted in an enclosure of matching rating with the gasket seated properly for those ratings to hold.
4) Does the 10250TA66 come with contact blocks, or do I order those separately?
This is the operator only, the button assembly with its chrome bezel and interlocked black and green plastic actuators. The contact blocks that make and break your control circuit mount to the back of it and are ordered separately, so specify the number of N.O. and N.C. 10250T contact blocks your control scheme needs along with the operator.
5) Do the buttons on the 10250TA66 light up?
No. It is a non-illuminated operator, so there is no lamp or LED behind the black and green buttons and no lamp voltage to supply. If the panel needs a lit button or a separate status indication, you'll need an illuminated 10250T operator or a pilot light.
6) Will the 10250TA66 match the other pushbuttons already in my 10250T control panel?
It is part of the 10250T heavy-duty 30.5 mm family, so it shares the same panel cutout and accessory system as the rest of that series. Visually it reads as a chrome bezel with plastic actuators, so it will match other chrome-bezel 10250T operators in the same panel.
