Kraloy 78565 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I glue this PVC elbow or is it a slip fit?
Glue it. The ends are plain end sockets made for nonmetallic solvent weld fittings, so you prime and cement the conduit into each hub. There is no threaded or compression option on this elbow.
2) Is PVC conduit like this OK in wet, corrosive plants and car washes?
That's a main use for it. Kraloy lists this rigid nonmetallic PVC elbow for water and sewage treatment plants, car washes, marinas, fish plants, food processing, pulp and paper, steel mills and mines, places where steel conduit corrodes. It's also listed for parking garages, bridges and tunnels, subways, airports, street and highway lighting, utilities, communications and cable, agricultural and residential work.
