1) Is the Kraloy 80STD4045 elbow Schedule 80 or Schedule 40?
Schedule 80. The Kraloy 80STD4045 is a 4 inch, 45 degree standard radius PVC elbow molded from impact resistant Schedule 80 rigid nonmetallic conduit material, so it matches Sch 80 conduit runs where the heavier wall is called for in exposed or physically abused locations. Don't substitute it into a Sch 40 run without confirming the run's spec, since the wall thickness and ID differ.
2) How do the ends on the Kraloy 4 inch 45 degree PVC elbow connect - solvent weld or threaded?
Both ends are plain socket ends (SPxSP), made for solvent weld with nonmetallic cement and standard PVC fittings. No threads, no gaskets. You cut the conduit square, deburr, prime and cement it into the bell.
3) Can this PVC elbow be direct buried or encased in concrete?
