Zinc plated steel is a dry to normally damp interior material. The JTRM82 is steel with a zinc plating, which handles indoor boxes, panels and enclosures fine, but in wet locations, exterior work or anywhere corrosive, go to stainless steel hardware instead.

They will not cut their own hole, so they need an existing tapped hole or a nut, which is what every outlet box, device strap and panel ear already gives you.
