The JTSF16 is a Type A tapping screw with a gimlet point, so it starts easily in a punched or drilled hole in sheet metal and forms its own thread as it drives. It is not a self-drilling screw; it still needs a hole in the material, it just does not need pre-tapping. Thread pitch is 18 threads per inch.
