The Viega 91125 MegaPress coupling is a 2 inch by 2 inch fitting, so it joins two runs of 2 inch pipe. Both ends are press connections (P1 x P2), meaning no threading, welding or soldering on either side.

It is 316 stainless steel. That matters on the job because the 316 alloy handles corrosive and wet service better than the carbon steel MegaPress body, so it's the version specified where the pipe or the environment would attack plain steel.

A stop coupling has an internal shoulder at the center, so each pipe end bottoms out at a fixed insertion depth. That sets the engagement for you on both sides and keeps the joint centered. If you need to slide the fitting along an existing pipe to make up a repair in a fixed run, a stop coupling won't do it, you want the stopless version for that.
